Associate Members Committee
Associate Members Committee Aims:
- To provide a forum for Associate Members and enable them to contribute and benefit fully from their INTERTANKO membership, to facilitate debate of their issues and concerns and to interact with the other members and associate members.
- To assist the Association's Members, its Council and Executive Committee by contributing relevant expertise, issues and topics, and organise appropriate events.
Screening of applications for associate membership
In line with INTERTANKO’s quality criteria for companies applying for associate membership, the AMC quality screens all applicants, considering supplied information (quality certification suitable for the applicant’s business or references from two members/associate members of INTERTANKO, information regarding membership in other relevant professional bodies and a brief company profile). The findings are reported to the Association's Council with the Committee's recommendation before being formally approved by the Council of Members.
Integration between members and associate members through committees and panels
INTERTANKO’s associate membership has extremely valuable expertise which is leveraged to the largest possible extent within the Association's committee and panel structure. Associate members take part in selected INTERTANKO committees and panels, thus contributing to a mutually beneficial interaction on issues of common interest. This work also provides a welcome opportunity for networking between the two sides of the membership. Associate members who wish to explore opportunities to take part in committee work are welcome to contact Kathi Stanzel, via katharina.stanzel@intertanko.com
