U.S. product imports from Europe increasing

According to the monthly oil survey of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), U.S. product imports from Europe are increasing strongly. Figures until October 2004 indicate that imports have grown from 0.34 million barrels daily (mbd) in 2002, to 0.39 mbd in 2003, to 0.61 mbd in 2004. The U.S. is also taking increasingly more products from the Former Soviet Union (FSU): 0.09 mbd in 2002, 0.14 mbd in 2003 and 0.18 mbd in 2004.
