INTERTANKO Council member Capt Allan Skilton, Safety & Marine Manager of Primorsk Shipping met with IMB's Deputy Director, Capt Jayant Abhyankar, in London last December on behalf of the INTERTANKO Asian Regional Panel. Several interesting points were raised during the meeting, which focused on fostering cooperation between the two organisations, including receiving INTERTANKO's input regarding piracy matters, invitations to INTERTANKO to participate in meetings concerning piracy, and possible interest by IMB in INTERTANKO reviewing/endorsing papers they submit to the IMO.
