PORT COSTS

US/New Haven, Bridgeport, New London ports - pilotage fees

If a ship is at anchorage for more than 24 hours, the cost of any launch fees for the pilot will be charged to the shipping company/owner (currently USD 225 per trip).

There are no other pilot standby charges/requirements for these ports.

Harbour rates:   
New Haven    USD 2.95 per pilot unit
Bridgeport     USD 2.95 per pilot unit
New London   USD 2.65 per pilot unit

The official state rate for shifting a vessel from one port/terminal in Long Island Sound to another is 2/3 the Sound rate.

Northport Platform:
Standby at anchorage: USD 250 per 24-hour period
Standby at terminal:    USD   25 per hour, paid by shipping co./owner
Docking/undocking:     USD 225
Tosco/Riverhead Platform:
Standby at anchorage:  USD 250 per 24-hour period
Standby at terminal:     Paid by Tosco
Docking/undocking:      USD 225

There is no charge for transporting a vessel to the Northport or Tosco/Riverhead Platforms from their respective anchorages.  (See article on under PORT ISSUES on standby pilotage as above)
