MOORED/PASSING VESSEL INTERACTION QUESTIONNAIRE HOUSTON/GALVESTON

The interaction between moored and passing vessels is a recurring problem for vessels in Houston. Ships and barges have been pulled off docks causing line breaks, hose ruptures, and other damages. In an attempt to research the history and magnitude of vessels being pulled away from their moorings, Houston-Galveston Safety Advisory Committee (HOGANSAC) has developed a questionnaire for distribution within the Houston area ports.

If you have records of incidents where damages have occurred from the interaction between passing and moored vessels, HOGANSAC requests that you take the time to complete the questionnaire
