Brazil/Paranagua – increase of port tariffs

As from 11 August 2001 port tariffs were increased as follows:

Inframar tax 25 %, Infracais tax 100 %, and Infraport tax 22.61 %.

India/Mumbai – revised pier dues

New rates for pier dues came into effect 8 August 2001:

1. On every steam and other mechanically propelled and square rigged vessel berthed at or using the bulk oil piers at Jawahar Dweep and Pir Pau:

- Coastal vessels: INR 3.27 per GRT for a period of 8 hours, or part thereof, subject to a minimum charge of INR 3,266.20

- Foreign-going vessels: 10 cents per GRT for a period of 8 hours, or part

thereof, subject to a minimum charge of USD 100

2. On every boat, barge or country craft (not square rigged):

- Coastal vessels: INR 63.50 for a period of 8 hours, or part thereof.

- Foreign-going vessels: USD 2.00 for a period of 8 hours, or part thereof.

Mexico/Coatzacoalcos and Cayo Arcas  - new tug tariff rates

INTERTANKO has just received the new tug tariff rates implemented as from 4 August 2001 (rates based on vessel’s GT in MXP/tug H.P. per hour of service):

UAE/Dubai – new marine tariff

Effective from 1 September 2001 the Dubai port Authority will increase the tariff rates.  Please click here to view the new tariff open

USA/Houston – increase of fee

Effective 1 October 2001 the U.S. agriculture users fee (aphis fee) will increase from USD 474.50 to USD 480.50.
