USA/Texas City – bunkering at Docks Nos. 11 and 12

Due to a different layout of bunker barges, barge length must be 250 feet or less, and the header connection must be 90 degrees to the dock (i.e. parallel to the terminal loading arm). The bunker barge company should contact the Terminal Operator at 409-945-4555, as the size of the vessel at Dock No. 11 determines how large a barge can moor at the barge dock.

Bunkering lube oils will now be allowed during cargo operation. Bringing a barge alongside will only be permitted with prior terminal approval. The width of the barge must not impede the traffic at neighbouring berths. The type and grade of all lube oil material to be transferred must be advised in advance. It is required that the barge must be boomed at owner’s expense. Lubes can continue to be taken either before or after discharge, provided that there is no impact on terminal operations. In this case it is not required to boom the barge.
