WORKSHOP ON VETTING PROCESSES FOR TRANSPORT OF CHEMICALS ON 27-31 OCTOBER IN BERLIN

The 28th European Petrochemical Association (EPCA) Logistics Meeting will take place from 27-31 October at the Inter-Continental Hotel, Berlin. With the theme of ‘Moving Chemicals: Urgent Need for further progress’ the conference will examine the importance of change in the way the petrochemical business conduct their supply chain management.

On 29 October there will be a workshop dedicated to safety at sea with focus on vetting procedures. The workshop will examine whether there is room for improvement and, if so, how. INTERTANKO will be represented by the Chairman of the Vetting Committee, Lars Mossberg.  Other industry representatives will include i.a. Exxon/Mobil, Stolt Nielsen, Steamship Mutual Insurance, Det Norske Vertias, CDI, the Dutch Port State Control and the European Commission.
