CORRECTION TO MARKET INFORMATION

We apologise for a mistake which appeared in the second paragraph of our article entitled "World Oil Transit Chokepoints - Energy Information Administration (EIA)" in Weekly News 45 of 9 November 2001. It should have read:

''More than 50,000 vessels per year, or about 150 ships a day, transit the Strait of Malacca, according to Dept. of Geography, National University of Singapore (1994). 30% of these are estimated to be tankers.''
