INTERTANKO’s Annual General Meeting this year will be held in conjunction with the Rotterdam Tanker Event 2002.

The Rotterdam Tanker Event features an exciting three-day programme, embracing presentations on a wide range of current issues facing the industry. In addition to updates on international oil and tanker markets, freight futures and the world economy, the conference programme includes a full-day session under the title “Tanker Visions”, where we have invited leading personalities from all links of the chain of responsibility to share their thoughts on topics such as transparency, port security, ship management and electronic chartering. The list of speakers includes representatives from the European Commission, the US Coast Guard, Greepeace, oil companies, classification societies, tanker operators, flag states and expert analysts from various fields.

Separate sessions will focus on marine insurance after September 11th and the current regime of multiple vetting inspections. In addition, the programme includes broad coverage and in-depth review of INTERTANKO’s recent and future work programme within in the EU, IMO and in Asia, as well as updates on environmental issues such as ship recycling, antifouling paints, ballast water management, cargo and air emissions.

Block bookings have been made at the Westin Rotterdam and Golden Tulip hotels, and we encourage all participants to make their bookings as early as possible. For further information, programme updates and registration forms, please visit our web site at: Click here for more information
