ADMIRAL JAMES LOY RETIRES FROM USCG AND TAKES UP A NEW POSITION

In a moving ceremony, Admiral James Loy retired after 38 years of distinguished service in the United States Coast Guard. His position as Commandant was assumed by Admiral Thomas Collins, a member of the Class of 1968 of the U.S. Coast Guard Academy.

At the same ceremony it was announced that James Loy has been appointed to the newly created post of Deputy Under Secretary for Transportation Security and Chief Operating Officer of the Transportation Security Administration.

INTERTANKO was represented at the meeting by Dragos Rauta, Technical Director and US Representative. INTERTANKO has greatly appreciated the opportunity to work with Admiral Loy and we look forward to working with Admiral Collins in the coming years.
