RE-ORGANISATION OF INTERTANKO’S REGIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES ANNOUNCED

The following re-organisation of regional responsibilities within INTERTANKO has been announced this week.

Minerva Alfonso will commence her maternity leave on 8 August and will be relinquishing her position as Asian Regional Manager in Singapore. Subsequent to her leave Minerva will return to a senior position in either Oslo or London.

With Minerva’s move, John Fawcett-Ellis has been appointed to succeed Minerva in Singapore as Regional Manager, responsible for Asia-Pacific (excluding Japan) and secretary of the Asian Panel, while retaining his position as Legal Counsel. John’s formal start date in Singapore will be the subject of a future announcement.

Concurrently Anders Baardvik will take over responsibilities for our members in Latin America (including the non-English speaking Caribbean) and as secretary of the Latin American Panel with immediate effect.

We wish Minerva, John and Anders great success in their respective new ventures and tasks.
