BUNKER ALERT: High catalyst content fuel in Houston, Texas

Recently, DNV Petroleum Services has received several fuel samples from the port of Houston with high Aluminium plus Silicon (Al + Si) content. The Al + Si levels ranged from 85 ppm – marginally above the ISO 8217:1996 specification -- to as high as 238 ppm. BUNKER ALERT: High water content fuels in Novorossisk, Russia

Recently, DNV Petroleum Services has received several HFO samples from bunkerings in Novorossisk, Russia, five of which have water content exceeding the maximum level stated in ISO 8217:1996 Fuel Specifications (1.0 %v/v). Recently, DNV Petroleum Services has analysed a number of fuel samples originating from the port of Rotterdam with high Aluminium plus Silicon (Al + Si) content exceeding the ISO 8217 specification of not more than 80 ppm. DNV Petroleum Services has received three fuel samples from recent bunkerings in Augusta , Italy , with flash point below the ISO 8217:1996 requirement of minimum 60°C.
