A Guide to the Vetting Process, 5th edition – Have you ordered copies for your fleet?

INTERTANKO handles many enquiries for up-to-date information on the different ship inspection systems which form an essential part of the tanker vetting process.

To overcome the lack of available information on vetting inspection systems, and to assist tanker crews and onshore personnel to better understand, and to be better prepared for, vetting inspections, INTERTANKO has published an expanded fifth edition of its ‘A Guide to the Vetting Process’. The publication provides a concise yet comprehensive description of the principal tanker vetting systems.

Tanker Specification Awareness Guide now available

As part of its ongoing efforts to promote safer tanker shipping, the INTERTANKO Safety, Technical and Environmental Committee (ISTEC) has produced this Awareness Guide covering the technical specifications of tankers by drawing on members’ knowledge, experience and their willingness to share information for their mutual benefit and for the benefit of the tanker industry as a whole.

The main aim is to provide assistance in the process of investigating, evaluating and making informed choices, and thus reinforcing final decisions, during the negotiation of a newbuilding contract with a shipyard.

A Guide to Tanker Charters (2001)

‘A Guide to Tanker Charters’ is a successor to the observations (or commentaries) on tanker charterparties that INTERTANKO has published in the past, written by Harvey Williams, Vice-Chairman of INTERTANKO’s Documentary Committee.

This important publication (328 pages) goes well beyond the two earlier editions as it is the first time a comprehensive approach has been taken to both time and voyage charterparties for tankers. It has become the standard source of reference for those regularly involved in fixing tankers or resolving tanker charterparty disputes.
