Members’ lunch and presentation on forward freight agreements (FFAs)

The next bi-monthly lunch for London-based INTERTANKO members will be on Thursday, 18 November 2004 from 12.00 to 14.30 in the INTERTANKO London office, St Clare House, 30-33 Minories London EC3N 1DD.

There will be a presentation by Jeremy Penn, Chief Executive of The Baltic Exchange, and a presentation on forward freight agreements (FFAs) by James Tweed of Azimuth Marine Management Ltd., followed by a Q&A session focusing on some of the current issues surrounding the tanker FFA market.

James Tweed began his career as a tanker chartering broker at Seascope. In 2001 he branched out into tanker freight derivatives working for a broking company (Global Freight Forwards) an energy broker (Tradition Financial Services) and now Azimuth Marine Management Ltd, a hedge fund created specifically for the purpose of trading FFA’s and offering investors a point of access to the freight derivative markets.
