INTERTANKO to hold regional Members’ Forum in Rome, 14 September 2005

INTERTANKO is pleased to announce a morning forum for its members on Wednesday 14 September 2005 at the Rome Cavalieri Hilton Hotel. The INTERTANKO Forum is an opportunity for members in the region to gather and discuss the issues of the moment, and focus attention on those that are of immediate importance to INTERTANKO and its members. It is anticipated that the items discussed can then be acted upon directly by INTERTANKO.

The INTERTANKO Forum follows the ‘Shipping in a Responsible Society – Quo Vadis?’ conference scheduled for 12 and 13 September at the same venue. Shipping is one industry the world cannot do without, yet few who depend on shipping understand much about it – resulting in a tension, in preconceptions and in misunderstandings. Organiser Mare Forum will work from this premise to cover some of the key issues facing the industry, from European Union (EU) related matters to short sea shipping, environmental concerns and safety issues. We have negotiated a 25% discount for INTERTANKO members who identify themselves as such on the registration form.
