Changes to Country Manager responsibilities in INTERTANKO

After consultation with regional representatives of our membership, the Management Committee and internal review, we are pleased to announce the following changes with respect to Country Manager responsibilities.

As previously advised, Tim Wilkins has been appointed as INTERTANKO’s Regional Manager Asia-Pacific and will transfer to Singapore in September this year, when he will assume responsibility for the countries in this region and relinquish his existing country responsibilities. Details of the transition from John Fawcett-Ellis, our present Asia-Pacific Regional Manager, to Tim will be the subject of a future announcement.

With Tim’s transfer, Bill Box will assume responsibility for INTERTANKO membership in Greece and Cyprus with immediate effect. Bill will be assisted by Chantal Cheung Tam He, INTERTANKO’s Executive Assistant in London. Tim and Bill will implement an orderly handover during the next few weeks.

Bill is our Communications Manager and as such is responsible for our internal and external communications and contacts with the media. He also has coordinating responsibility for our Annual Events, which has included the highly successful meetings in Athens and Singapore

Concurrent with these changes, Dragos Rauta, Technical Director, will resume responsibility for INTERTANKO’s membership in Turkey. Combining this with his responsibility for membership in Italy, Monaco, Romania and Croatia, it is intended that Dragos and Bill will work closely to coordinate our programmes and activities for our members in Southern Europe and the surrounding region.

Currently we are planning appropriate programmes to introduce our colleagues in the respective countries and we will appreciate any assistance afforded to them to facilitate these handovers.
