The Nautical Institute this week announced the publication of Industry Recommendations for ECDIS Training which is intended to fully address any confusion in regard to Electronic Chart Display and Information Systems (ECDIS) training. The guidance has been put together by an industry group made up of leading organisations, including INTERTANKO, OCIMF and the International Group of P&I Clubs, among others.
The guidance covers issues of training and competency for ECDIS and helps interpret IMO training requirements. To view the document, please click here.
