Amendments to IMO instruments soon entering into force

The Maritime Safety Committee at its 82nd session (MSC 82) in Nov/Dec 2006 adopted various amendments to existing regulations. The Resolutions containing those amendments are now available, including the following:

 

Entering into force 1 April 2007:

MSC Resolution 228 (82) containing revised guidelines for the prevention and suppression of the smuggling of drugs, psychotropic substances and precursor chemicals on ships engaged in international maritime traffic.

 

Entering into force at 00.00 UTC, 1 of July 2007:

MSC Resolution 231 (82) containing amendments to the existing mandatory ship reporting system “IN THE GULF OF FINLAND”.

 

MSC Resolution 229 (82) regarding the adoption of a new mandatory ship reporting system “IN THE GALAPAGOS PARTICULARLY SENSITIVE SEA AREA (PSSA) (GALREP)”.

 

MSC Resolution 230 (82) containing amendments to the existing mandatory ship reporting system “IN THE STOREBÆLT (GREAT BELT) TRAFFIC AREA”.
