INTERTANKO addresses minimum draught requirements for SBT tankers transiting the Panama Canal in ballast

INTERTANKO would like once again to thank its vigilant members for reporting issues of concern, providing opportunities for the Secretariat to take appropriate action. 

Whereas tankers equipped with Clean Ballast Tanks (CBT) in the past managed to conform to the minimum draught and trim requirements when transiting the Panama Canal in ballast, more modern tankers, built with Segregated Ballast Tanks, experience compliance problems.
