ITOPF/INTERTANKO: Tanker Safety & Pollution Prevention Seminar, Dubai

A seminar addressing tanker safety issues, highlighting opportunities for preventing pollution from ships, and recommending procedures for dealing with pollution incidents in an effective manner will take place early December in Dubai.


ITOPF and INTERTANKO are joint organisers, in association with Vela International Marine Limited, Dubai Drydocks, and Gulf Energy Maritime, of this seminar on Wednesday, 6 December 2006 at the Jumeirah Emirates Towers Hotel, Dubai.


Sessions will be chaired by Dr Helmut Sohmen (Chairman, Bergesen Worldwide Group Ltd) and Patrick Decavele (Vice-Chairman INTERTANKO). Speakers include Willem Oosterveen (Director, IOPC Fund); Mohammad Souri (Chairman, NITC); Col. Suleiman Bin Mohammed Al-Busaidy (Ministry of Regional Municipalities and Environment, Oman) and Nigel Carden (Director, UK P&I Club).
