RECORD ATTENDANCE AT SINGAPORE VETTING SEMINAR 8 NOVEMBER

Sixty INTERTANKO members attended along with representatives from oil companies including ChevronTexaco, Shell, BP, Koch Oil & Trading, Petronas, and TotalFinaElf. Presentations were given by BP, Koch Oil & Trading and Shell.

A very successful Vetting Seminar in Singapore took place today (Friday) attended by sixty INTERTANKO members with an excellent representation from oil companies including ChevronTexaco, Shell, BP, Koch Oil & Trading, Petronas, and TotalFinaElf.

 

The seminar was chaired by Lars Mossberg, Chairman of the INTERTANKO Vetting Committee, with Howard Snaith and John Fawcett-Ellis participating from the secretariat.

 

A presentation was given by BP regarding their vetting criteria and by Koch Oil & Trading on correct procedures for replying to oil majors when deficiencies are raised. The presentation from Shell focused on their ship quality assurance systems.
