Vetting from the viewpoint of owner, charterer and port discussed at the Singapore Vetting Seminar

INTERTANKO held a successful Vetting Seminar in Singapore on the 16 November 2004, at which the following presentations were given.

  2. We were very pleased to welcome Enys Dan, Director of Marine Assurance for BP Shipping and Tim Ashby, Regional Assurance Manager, Asia Pacific - based in Singapore. We are hoping to receive a copy of this presentation, which we will circulate in due course
  3. Capt Howard Snaith (Director Marine, Ports Terminals, Chemical & Environmental) gave a presentation on the latest statistics from the Vetting Inspection Feedback Forms received from members as of November 2004. Click here to view.
  4. Capt Tan Kim Liang, who is a Senior Marine Surveyor (Port State Control) and head of the Port State Control (PSC) Unit of the Ship Safety Department of Marine Port Authority in Singapore gave a very interesting update on PSC issues. Once we receive confirmation regarding circulation we will advise members accordingly
  5. Leonard Hale, General Manager with the Stolt Nielsen Transportation Group in Singapore, gave a presentation regarding the Owners’ Perspective of Vetting. We hope to be able to circulate this presentation in next week’s Weekly NEWS.
