INTERTANKO hosts a lunch for the Consultative Shipping Group (CSG)

INTERTANKO hosted a lunch on 29 October 2003 at the Historic Georgetown Club, WashingtonD.C., for the Consultative Shipping Group (CSG). The CSG is made up of representatives of the government administrations of Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Japan, The Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Sweden and the United Kingdom (the European Commission is an observer). The UK currently chairs the group. The CSG is represented in the US by the Cotton Club.

Every 2 years the CSG meets with the US administration to discuss maritime issues. This meeting was on the 27-29 October in WashingtonD.C., when representatives from all the aforementioned countries participated. Bruce Carlton at Marad was the lead organiser. A broad agenda, covering safety, security and environmental issues was discussed.
