Mare global forum on the maritime transportation of energy 2002

Mare Forum will be holding a Global Forum on the Maritime Transportation of Energy 2002 in Houston, 18-19 November 2002, which aims to identify the priority policy issues.

Previous INTERTANKO Chairman Richard du Moulin (Intrepid Shipping LLC) will be co-chairing the first session, which will be devoted to a forecast of short- and long-term world energy requirements, sources and distribution impacts. Session 2 will identify economic, security, environmental and regulatory impacts. Session 3 on the marine transportation system capacity will include a presentation by INTERTANKO MD Peter Swift entitled ‘Bulk Liquid Ocean Shipping Issues’, followed later in the same session by a presentation by William Gray (Gray Maritime Co.) on ‘INTERTANKO’s US Port and Terminal Safety Update 2002.’
