Record attendance at Athens Vetting Seminar - presentations available

INTERTANKO’s Vetting Seminar held this week in Athens attracted a record number of 260 delegates. Although there was a strong Greek presence at the seminar, it remained an international gathering with members travelling to Athens from Scandinavia and speakers travelling from the U.S. This remarkable attendance demonstrates the Association’s reputation in organising for relevant and topical material to be delivered by speakers who are at the sharp end of ship vetting.

We would like to thank all the members who attended in spite of the local transport strikes that occurred that day.

The Vetting Seminar was chaired by Vetting Committee Chairman Capt. Bob Bishop. We would also extend our sincere thanks to the speakers for their contributions and for having travelled long distances to be there.

We are pleased to make their presentations available:

Geoff Snow, SIRE Programme Manager - An update of the SIRE system

Capt. Tim Plummer, President, Tesoro Maritime Company - Tesoro Vetting Systems

Capt. Ragnar Halvorsen, STATOIL - STATOIL Vetting

Capt. Howard Snaith, INTERTANKO Marine Director - Tanker Officer Training Standards (TOTS)

These presentations can also be found on the INTERTANKO web site at Intertanko Presentations.
