Dagens Næringsliv, Oslo reports that Saudi Aramco will invest $20 bn the next five years to increase oil production capacity. CEO in Saudi Aramco, Abdallah S. Jumah said to Bloomberg that the Saidi oil production capacity would reach 12 mbd oil long before the end of this decade. Current production capacity is some 10.5 mbd and actual production some 9.3 mbd. Increased production from the Haradh Field will increase capacity by 0.3 mbd in 2006 and increased production from the Abu Hadriyah, Fadhili and Khursaniyah fields will fields will increase capacity by another 0.5 mbd by 2007-08.
