MEXICO - COATZACOALCOS/PAJARITOS, CHANNEL DRAUGHT REDUCTION

ALERT! VENEZUELA – PUERTO LA CRUZ, PIRATE ATTACK AT ANCHOR

On the night between 1 and 2 September 2000 a cargo vessel at anchor was attacked by four pirates with guns.  The 2 nd engineer was hit injuring his leg.  No response from local authorities or the coast guard was recorded.  After two hours an agency boat landed the injured seaman.
