Personnel/Responsibility changes within the INTERTANKO Secretariat

With the impending departure of Minerva Alfonso, we are pleased to announce the following changes in responsibilities in INTERTANKO. Further announcements will follow over the coming weeks.

Chantal Cheung Tam He, currently Executive Assistant, has been appointed as Regional Manager for the U.K., Liberia and Libya and will also be responsible for the membership’s Port State Control administration. With the development of the new [Northern] European Panel she will be assisting the Panel’s chairman with this task, and concurrently will relinquish her role assisting with the Greek/Cypriot membership.

Minerva Alfonso will remain involved with INTERTANKO including new projects in the pipeline covering the Human Element and Manning in the Asian region, as well as Piracy issues.

Transitional arrangements have also been made for the Secretariats of the Executive Committee and Council, with details to be confirmed at the upcoming meeting in Istanbul.
