INTERTANKO Tanker Event 2008 - Only 2 days to go, register now!

The INTERTANKO Tanker Event 2008 is kicking off in two days’ time at the Swissôtel The Bosphorus in Istanbul.


With senior executives from many INTERTANKO members attending, as well as high profile guests, it promises to be THE networking event for the tanker industry and THE event covering the major issues of concern and interest in the tanker industry.

Oil & Tanker Market Session: The tanker market may now be at a turning point with the tanker fleet increasing strongly, while the demand side is uncertain. The speakers at the market session will cover both the crude and product tanker markets as well as the chemical tanker market and will provide you with up-to-date insight on both the current market as well as the prospects for the next few years.


Poseidon Challenge: Further evolution of Poseidon Challenge with new commitments to continuous improvement and updates on existing commitments from top level representatives from owners, shipbuilding, maritime safety, class, dry bulk sectors.

Also the presentation of the first Poseidon Challenge Award and a separate Poseidon ‘Tool-box’ Session that will show you how to establish continuous improvement in your company.


Chartering Seminar: Focus on tanker charters and the respective rights and liabilities of owners and charterers, including the latest developments in chartering law and practice from both an English and New York law perspective. The subjects will include laytime, demurrage, off-hire, safe port/berth and vetting clauses.
