ACCEPTANCE BY CHARTERERS OF VESSELS ON MAIDEN VOYAGE

We have been informed that some of our members are experiencing difficulties when taking on ownership/management of new buildings, in particular in obtaining charterers’ acceptance

Acceptance for Texaco Service of vessels on maiden voyage is subject to a number of items being addressed by the vessel’s staff during trials and on passage to the load port. These concern navigation systems, ballast systems, cargo systems, mooring systems and loadline items, lifesaving and firefighting systems, propulsion systems, steering systems, generators, boilers and auxiliary systems.

A pre-approval check list provided by Texaco is available on our web site. This must be completed and signed by the Master and Chief Engineer and returned to Texaco Maritime Inspection & Consulting Service (MI&CS).
