Greenpeace activists board tanker

On 24 January Greenpeace activists boarded a tanker in the St. Vincent Gulf protesting to Mobil’s Port Stanvac Refinery in Adelaide against delivery of shale oil, claimed to be polluting and adding to the greenhouse effect. According to Greenpeace spokeswoman Louise Fraser, the activists are prepared to stay on board as long as they can. INTERTANKO is opposed to this type of hampering of the transport of a legally traded commodity, which in addition increases the cost of transport.
