Joe Angelo receives Distinguished Executive Award from President Bush

Each year, the President of the United States recognises a select group of Senior Executives for their accomplishments. Joe Angelo, INTERTANKO’s Director of Regulatory Affairs and the Americas, was invited to the White House this week to receive the Presidential Distinguished Executive Award from President George W. Bush as one of the recipients for 2004 for his work with the U.S. Coast Guard prior to his retirement.

This award was in recognition of his contributions to the U.S. Coast Guard, the Department of Homeland Security and the nation for sustained leadership of domestic and international initiatives in maritime safety, security and protection of the marine environment.

Joe received the same award from President Clinton in 1999 putting him in a very distinguished group of approximately only 20 federal executives that have received this award twice over the 25 years of its existence.

INTERTANKO congratulates Joe on this great honour.
