Shelltime 4 and ShellLNGTime indispensible guide – order today

This publication is the first commentary solely dedicated to the popular Shelltime forms providing a good source of information on important aspects of oil and gas chartering. It is certain to become an indispensable guide for both the practical and legal aspects of using the Shelltime forms.

This work has been completed by Hill Dickinson and INTERTANKO, with the assistance of Shell and Braemar Seascope. The author, a solicitor with many years experience, has produced a valuable compendium on the rights and liabilities of parties under the Shelltime form. He has analysed the forms clause by clause, highlighting important case law as well as areas where subtle changes may give rise to unexpected results.

The book includes an Executive Summary followed by a detailed analysis of each clause of Shelltime 4 (2003) and ShellLNGTime 1 (2005), highlighting the changes in each of these forms compared to Shelltime 4 (1984). These three charterparty forms are widely used in the market by owners and by charterers. We hope that the discussion of the wording and interpretation of the charterparty clauses contained within the book will be of considerable assistance to owners and charterers who are fixing tankers on these forms.

"INTERTANKO's publication Shelltime 4 and ShellLNGTime written by Robert Gay, is a ready reference for those engaged in chartering business on the ever popular Shelltime forms." Captain Graham Westgarth, Chairman of INTERTANKO, President of Teekay Marine Services.
