INTERTANKO Photography Competition 2025 - sponsored by Valles Steamship Ltd.
Open to all seagoing and shore-based staff of INTERTANKO Member companies, the 2025 Photography Competition invited entries that capture the spirit and reality of life in tanker shipping – from breathtaking dawns and rough seas to moments of wildlife encounters and daily life on board.The striking finalist images, shortlisted from dozens of high-quality submissions, were on display throughout the Annual Tanker Event.
Guests at the dinner were invited to vote for their favourite photograph, with results announced live by Capt. Oscar Pinto of Valles Steamship.Our congratulations go to Deck Cadet Cheeramban James Sahyan of Scorpio Ship Management for his stunning image and this year’s winning entry:
In second-place was ‘Ice on the STI Maestro’ by Maria Zouridaki, again from Scorpio Ship Management…
… while in third place was ‘Tornado’ by 2nd Mate Ashwani Chauhan of d’Amico Tankers.
The winners will receive Amazon vouchers and all shortlisted images will remain on display online and may be featured in upcoming INTERTANKO publications, with full credit to the photographers.
The continued success of this competition reflects the pride, creativity, and unique perspective of those who serve at sea and ashore in the tanker sector.
