INTERTANKO Photography Competition
Details of the next Photo Competition will be posted here - we expect to reinstate the competition at our 2023 Annual Tanker Event, which will take place in Dubai (dates TBC, but expected in May).
Pre-Covid, the last competition was run in 2019. The winners on that occasion were Loading operations at SBM Musamdam, Oman by 3rd Officer Risabh Prasad of MMS (Meiji) in first place, Andaman local by 3rd Engineer Constancio Fernandes of Euronav in second, and in third place Navarin – Always proceeding forward by Euronav’s Andi Maraloi.
Open to all seagoing and shore-based staff, photographs will be invited that cover any aspect of carrying the world’s oil, gas and chemicals safely, cleanly and efficiently.
It could be a moody dawn/dusk shot on calm waters, maybe one of treacherous conditions that are difficult to imagine, or perhaps a sea bird or other wildlife, dolphins, whales etc that have taken a shine to a particular vessel?
There really is no limit to what can be entered – all we ask is that it’s tanker-based.
There will be prizes of Amazon vouchers for the top three – USD250, USD125 and USD75. Winners, decided by delegates’ votes, will be announced at INTERTANKO’s Annual Tanker Event.
There is also the possibility that an entry could be used as a cover to one of our Guidance notes or even retail publications.
Images should be of high resolution, print quality and in either .jpg or .eps formats.
