INTERTANKO Photography Competition 2020
Following on from the huge success of previous years, INTERTANKO is again running its photography competition. The winners will be announced at the 2020 Annual Tanker Event, which is taking place in Oslo, the place of our inception, as part of our 50th Anniversary celebrations.
The 2019 winners were Loading operations at SBM Musamdam, Oman by 3rd Officer Risabh Prasad of MMS (Meiji) in first place, Andaman local by 3rd Engineer Constancio Fernandes of Euronav in second, and in third place Navarin – Always proceeding forward by Euronav’s Andi Maraloi.
Open to all seagoing and shore-based staff, we are inviting photographs that cover any aspect of carrying the world’s oil, gas and chemicals safely, cleanly and efficiently.
It could be a moody dawn/dusk shot on calm waters, maybe one of treacherous conditions that are difficult to imagine, or perhaps a sea bird or other wildlife, dolphins, whales etc that have taken a shine to a particular vessel?
There really is no limit to what can be entered – all we ask is that it’s tanker-based.
As last year, there will be prizes of Amazon vouchers for the top three – USD250, USD125 and USD75. Shortlisted images will be on display throughout the whole event and the winners, decided by delegates’ votes, will be announced at INTERTANKO’s Annual Gala Dinner in Oslo.
There is also the possibility that an entry could be used as a cover to one of our Guidance notes or even retail publications.
Images should be of high resolution, print quality and in either .jpg or .eps formats.
