Practical Guidance on Loading Limits for Gas Carriers
21 December 2021
This document has been developed for use as a guidance and training tool to assist Members and ship staff on board with an understanding of Chapter 15 of the IGC Code, so that ships can load the maximum cargo that can be loaded in compliance with the relevant IGC Code.
It is written for the most common cargoes (such as LPGs, butadiene, ammonia, LNG etc.) and ship types and doesn’t cover uncommon tank types or unusual cargoes which may have their own specific regulations in respect of loading, such as chlorine).
