Joint Maritime Information Centre issues analysis of how Houthis target those with 'links' to Israel

The Joint Maritime Information Centre (JMIC) has analysed port movements in Israel since the May 19 Houthi declaration stating that any company with links to Israel will be in breach of their self-imposed sanction and subject to attack. JMIC has identified 3,777 port calls by ships into Israeli ports, which were undertaken by some 194 different shipping companies.
JMIC has offered to undertake an analysis of any company to identify whether the company or ship has an association with Israel using their analytical tools, which utilise what is understood to be the same methodology used by the Houthis to determine links. This is a free-of-charge service and offered as a means to assist shipping companies to understand the threat in the region.

It must be noted that the risk remains with the company and that this snapshot JMIC assessment should only form part of any ship- and voyage-specific risk assessment.
